In January 2025, we marked a significant milestone: 10 years of commitment to Project Pink. Over the course of a decade, we have contributed more than $6 million globally to organizations such as Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, advancing vital cancer research and patient care. Our mission, which remains as strong as ever, is to stand in solidarity with those affected by breast cancer and to take meaningful action in funding research and care worldwide.
Meet Duncan
As a marathon runner and avid biker, endurance is a concept I’ve long been familiar with. Having built my career with sportswear leaders like Reebok, I’ve spent years pushing my own physical limits, while also considering the ways in which others challenge their bodies. It’s been an ongoing exploration of what the human body is truly capable of. But, ironically, the most profound lesson about endurance came to me in a way I had never expected.
In October 2014, Duncan’s life took a drastic turn when she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, a form of cancer she described as “treatable, but not curable.” The news was nothing short of shocking, particularly as she was in the midst of a career transition, having just taken on the role of Brand Leader & Marketing Director at OOFOS. Yet, despite the gravity of her diagnosis, Duncan’s reaction was one of resilience. Rather than succumbing to despair, she chose to focus on living — on enduring.
Project Pink: A Legacy of Hope
In January 2015, in honor of Duncan and her courageous approach to the battle ahead, we launched Project Pink. The initiative was designed to give back to the community and support the groundbreaking work being done at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Through the program, a portion of every sale made on OOFOS was donated to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund to fund breast cancer research.
But we didn’t stop there. We committed to creating an ongoing campaign around Project Pink. Each year, we dedicate October to the cause, releasing special Project Pink styles. From these unique styles, 100% of the profits are donated to the cause, helping to further the fight against breast cancer.
Project Pink has been more than just a fundraiser; it’s become a symbol of strength, resilience, and the ongoing fight against breast cancer. We are proud to have been part of this journey for the past 10 years, and we remain dedicated to supporting those affected by this disease. Our continued success is a testament to the impact that collective action can have, and as we move forward, we remain steadfast in our commitment to this cause.
